I don't like the other idea of offering a public option only for those who don't have insurance. Don't get me wrong; I really want them to be covered. But I'm paying $480 a month just for MrSG, and it's going to go up $100 a month very shortly. Throw in all the copays and stuff, and that's a hella lot of money.

Yep, we need Medicare for EVERYBODY!

8. My premiums for hubby and I are $193 or so a month

but I have an HDHP, so I put another $400 a month into my HSA so my costs are covered for my deductible and then the 10% I have to pay after that.

43. I got into it with the Repub in the office next to mine today

She started venting about how much she hates Obama and how he's a Socialist and turning us into a European country. Typical Fox talking points. She was complaining that they're going to tax plastic surgery at 10% and how most of the women who get plastic surgery are acutally middle class.

First of all, there's no bill yet. I went to check and saw it was proposed, but don't know if it's in any of the versions that have passed so far. In my search, I found a story from Fox News from this morning -- her rantng was almost word for word from that story.

It's impossible to try to convince her that the Prez is not a Socialist. Asked her what's wrong with trying to help people and tried to tell her Socialist medicine isn't being proposed. She won't ever listen to reason.

The worst part is I'm in the middle of a big project with her and have to spend a lot of time with her.
