on edit: I was sweeping the kitchen floor last night just as Countdown began and mis-parsed Alison's intro about the Bolton announcement. Instead of hearing that the annoucement was greeted with "boos", I heard "booze" and thought, "gee, I must not be the only one who's taking the news hard." :rofl:

I have no doubt that something's going on with it. My guess is with the increased ratings and the re-vamped schedule and the competition the network is screwing around with things.

As long as Alex Witt or Chris Jansing aren't the substitute hosts, I can't complain. But if Alison can't do it, or you guys feel like changing it up, why not give Mon a chance?

My gut instinct is that there's more to this. Keith's gone too much. The ratings haven't been good lately. You have Rita Cosby coming on in a blaze of publicity. If I worked there, I'd be stressed, too.
