1. I hate to contradict you,
but I'm sure that some of it is packed in a box in my garage.

7. I know!
Poor Ed Schultz - I wanted to reach out and hug him on the radio today. He sounded so discouraged.

All I can say is, "Thank God for Russ Feingold."

9. I dunno - I haven't left my apartment.
But the plow has been through the parking lot at least 6 times since last night.
Now the manager is using a very loud snow thrower. Hey, at least it isn't me! :)

24. Please, watch your ears.
I cannot emphasize that enough. I have been on my new antibiotic two days and I am still not receiving significant relief of any kind. Oh, it's a little lighter, but I am still fully plugged like I was before.

I am terrified that I have been infected with one of the "superbugs" that is resistant to all but the most powerful antibiotics that exist. I have NEVER had this kind of trouble killing off a bacterial infection before. But this one has been going on for weeks and absolutely, positively will not die.

26. I've heard about that crappy bug.
And yeah, it takes WEEKS to get rid of. Have you asked your doctor about maybe trying IV drugs? Or is that the absolute last resort?

Praying for you to feel better, and sending you a bowl of homemake soup and a hug

37. Thanks to both of you.
IV drugs have not been broached yet. And I don't even want to think of how much THAT will cost if it comes to that. :scared: I am already afraid that the only way I will ultimately be able to get rid of this thing is with a $275+ antibiotic.

18. I am so depressed.
:hi: The Republicans won on health care, and they didn't even need to fire a shot. All they had to do was lie kicking on the floor like spoiled children (despite being in the minority) and keep repeating "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO."

And the Dems, like permissive parents terrified that their children wouldn't love them anymore if they resisted, said "OK, OK, you don't HAVE to. Shut UP. Forget we ever even MENTIONED it."

We the people no longer matter. Only corporations.

Keith is still on the air. There were those who were determined to have him removed.
And even though the news is grim, there is always hope. Trust that Russ and Bernie have something planned... it CAN be done!

Maybe even Sherrod Brown, too? He's been so damn optimistic through this thing.

Keith is the only reason I stay sane. I love it when he calls Karl Rove Porky Pig.

If the middle class disappears, this country goes bankrupt. And that's just one more step towards revolution.

14. Medicare
"If it wasn't for the fact that the Washington media establishment is gamed in favor of Republicans, it's very likely that they would have long since been relegated to nothing more than a LaRouche-style crackpot cult, handing out mimeographed pamphlets outside the post office.

How else, other than via the self-conscious deference afforded it by the press, do the Republicans get away with issuing the following two press releases within a single 24 hour span:

Sunday: "Cutting Medicare is not what Americans want."

Monday: "Expanding Medicare a plan for financial ruin."

In case you're wondering, these statements didn't come from one of the many far out wingnuts like Steve King, Michele Bachmann or Virginia Foxx (Medicare recipient). They were, in fact, dispatched from Senate Minority Leader (And Real-Life Albino Sleestak) Mitch McConnell's office."

22. I think the solution is to get rid of Rahm Emmanuel.
He's playing politics, rather than doing the right thing. It's the complete opposite of what we were voting for.
And Barack? I am so very disappointed in him. :(

33. I feel the same. I am willing to be patient, but this is not the change I voted for.
I want to say "Barack, remember that old saying "You need to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything"? Please remember it. If you don't, you'll end up as the black Clinton, only without the blow jobs."

38. Not to pile on, but:
"There’s one thing about the Bush administration that some gay activists miss: the previous administration’s commitment to combating AIDS globally. For some, aspects of the Obama administration’s Pepfar (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) program fall short by comparison.

The controversy arises, according to a Dec. 8 New York Times story, out of a new focus on preventing the transmission of HIV, which causes AIDS--as well as a perception that the administration is choosing to fight less expensive international health wars, targeting malaria and other health issues as the expense of concentrating on AIDS.

"I’m holding my nose as I say this, but I miss George W. Bush," AIDS activist Gregg Gonsalves told The New York Times. "On AIDS, he really stepped up. He did a tremendous thing. Now, to have this happen under Obama is really depressing."

25. CBS poll
"One day after the Senate jettisoned the public insurance option from its health care legislation, a new CBS poll finds that 59 percent of the populace supports the inclusion of such a provision, which would compete in the marketplace with private insurers.

Only 29 percent opposed it, signaling an unusually high 30-point favorable rating."
