3. Hi kids. It's a damn wretched situation to be sure.
:hi: And here we are trying to help. I mean, I don't even have a job and I donated a little money because it's the least I can do. And what can Rush Limbaugh do? Open his piehole and whine about how it will benefit Obama politically. And what can Pat Robertson do? Imply they deserved it. Fuck them.

And Rush had better donate something of his millions or else. Bastard. :grr:

And yet not one but two asshats have to add to the suffering of the Haitians. :grr:

5. Yeah. I mean, they're trapped on this island, can't even get out,
no homes, no food or water, afraid to go into buildings, and dead people everywhere, and aftershocks still coming...where are they going to go and what will they do?

But I would pay good money to see the good Lord kick them from here to next week.

Just a series of their most egregious sound-bytes, blitzed all over, including the Superbowl, could open a lot of eyes.

12. some of the replies to the thread
Dear Pat, kill yourself on live television and we'll call it even.

Shut up, Pat. Just SHUT THE FUCK UP. Shut up, bury your head in a bag of shit and set it on fire.

Pact with the devil ... Oh, that couldn't have been slave owners pissing in their pants making shit up because they wanted to scare everyone else shitless too and make them cry like little kids who've had their cookie taken away. No, couldn't be. Everything white people ever said about Haitians in the EIGHTEENTH FUCKING CENTURY was obviously the gospel.

Fuckwit.

GAWD! I fucking hate him.

11. Point of order
Robertson isn't trying to unring the bell. The organization, realizing that what he said has now put them up shit creek without a paddle, is trying to unring the bell.

Tough nuts, assholes. He said it, you own it.

But still it was a "he was taken out of context and really didn't mean what he said" statement.

An old friend who is now living in Texas for the winter and is a retired Episcopalian rector
e mailed me that Pat is sick sick sick.

19. He couldn't just apologize and say his statement was ill-considered and wrong
and cruel to freshly suffering people...oh no.

Now his organization has to try to polish this turd.

I wish that once, just once, he'd say something that would lose him all his followers once and for all. But he never does...because so many of them agree with him. They really do think we earn our own misfortune by not being godly enough.

Once you name the demon, you OWN the demon.
YOU are the one who invited the devil in... so maybe he can just take you home now?
May God have pity on your miserable fucking soul.

PS - stop calling yourself a Christian, since you know nothing about it.

And yeah, Obama orders a quick response, a little over 12 hours from the time of the earthquake & it's a bad thing.

Bush fucking IGNORES Katrina for almost a week & we're supposed to "understand" because he was too busy vacationing & flying around the country to go to birthday parties.

Your comment upthread and now this one have me nodding my head vigorously. It's a scary-ass through-the-looking-glass media we've got here in this country when the Limbaughs and the Robertsons are on this all-expenses-paid ego trip and then, on top of that, crap all over the world's neediest people AND try to score political points.

24. Know what I wish? I wish Obama would come up with a program
by which unemployed people could earn money to help rebuild disaster areas like Haiti, or even New Orleans, which is hardly all better yet. Yes, you can volunteer, but why not make a government-funded jobs program out of it!

Dammit, put me to work helping people, and pay me a living wage to do it.

26. Oh, Keith, I only wish Pat's and Rush's lives were truly empty and hellish.
I suspect they're not, though. They're obscenely rich, have all the comforts of life they could possibly want, and have no consciences to nag them that they're doing anything wrong. I'm sure they both are blissfully happy seeing the world through their distorted lenses.

37. Glad to see you even late, SG.
:hi: It's just incredible, the devastation. And I think crisis times call for unusual measures. Maybe this is just what Obama needs to trigger him into thinking about how we can help in a disaster and solve some of our own problems at the same time.

It's not as if no work needs to be done. It's a matter of creating paying jobs for people to go do it, and not requiring them to have to jump through lots of hoops to get those jobs.

OK, so maybe I'm not an engineer. But there's got to be SOMETHING I can do.

40. For those who are curious, here's the audio for Limbaugh.
Unfortunately there's a visual too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IuNlQ9cnOE

If Limbaugh had listened to State Department and Pentagon briefings on the international aid efforts instead of sitting on his fat ass in front of that microphone, he'd know how many lies he told just in a that three- or or four-minute stretch of time...

Anyway, here's a snippet from P.J. Crowley's State Department briefing of today.

http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/dpb/2010/01/135142.htm

A number of countries have come in and offered assistance. I don’t – this is perhaps a partial list, but gives you a sense of the growing international response. This would include Netherlands, Iceland, Puerto Rico, Guyana, Brazil, Canada, Belize, Nicaragua, Cuba, Morocco, the Dominican Republic. We think that there are search-and-rescue assets en route to Haiti from France and the United Kingdom. So as we come to the end of this day, I think you’re seeing a significant search-and-rescue capability which, as USAID Administrator Raj Shah said earlier, will be of particular emphasis over the next 24 to 72 hours.

being well informed with accurate information there would be a few more hours of radio silence a day. His whole reason for being is to twist the truth and lie in order to make money.
