in ruins, so I'm not going to complain. I filed my unemployment claim today, and I have an interview on Tuesday. Plus I have two other leads on jobs, so I don't think my behind will be hanging in the wind for long!

17. I come bearing good news!

Today when I saw my dad, he was sitting up in his chair, watching TV, and he waved at me when I walked in. He is alert, and very much aware of what's going on around him. This is the absolute best I have seen him since before Thanksgiving!
I think that moving back to the main building has helped a lot... the room is very similar to his old apartment, and he is adjusting very well!

He did fall out of bed last night, but that's probably because they forgot to "pillow" him in. :eyes:

I can't tell you how relieved I feel! :)

I had an aunt in a nursing home for a while before she passed, and every time I got a call I got very nervous, and they always assured me she was okay. She fell out of bed too so believe me when I heard she was okay I was relieved too.
