I never really did invest in decent winter boots this year. Normally I go out about once every two years and invest in a pair of what I call "snow tires for feet." The Scarlett O'Hara approach really works well when it comes to stitching, I've found. If you mess something up and you're feeling tired and frustrated, you're really better off going to bed and picking it up again the next day or even a few days later. Fresh brain, fresh eyes, and you can usually see the problem and fix it right away. And often it's not as bad as you thought.

Of course, the same can be said of many problems in life.
