heh heh snuck into town whilst you weren't looking.....i'm flying back to laredo tomorrow afternoon....haven't been able to see countdown all week or hop onto du and all i can say now is :wow:

if rita's show is already tanking, all i can tell mr kaplan is "well DUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" If we ain't gonna stick around for bowtie boy, we sure as hell ain't sittin' around for her, cancer-scare speech or no cancer-scare speech.

tv history is filled w/such celeb "testimonials," going back to Yul Brynner's appearance on GMA in 1984 or 1985 when he looked in the camera & ad libbed "If you are watching this now, I am dead." The American Cancer Society (or someone) actually ran that as an ad campaign. Such testimonials are effective & they do work (see crispini---girlfriend, i have your back. my parents smoked like chimneys & while neither died of lung cancer, smoking sure as hell didn't help them deal with all the health problems they had later in life...you need a shoulder to cry on whilst you have the ciggie shakes? pm me. if ANYONE ELSE feels the same way, please do. i've got hospital horror stories to share if you need to be scared straight again).

i'd like to get lunch, but the conference doesn't end until noon & i'd like to get to the airport as soon after as possible. if i don't get standby on the afternoon flight, i'm here until 7 & not home until 9. :(

i've had a lot on my mind lately about work so i'd be very poor company at this point. :(
