46. We suspect--although no specific words have been said--that he and Katy are history.

Evidence:

1. He filled out his phony-Census form on the air saying he lives alone. Even though it was phony, you know damn well that if this was the first Census ever that he could brag about living with someone, he damn well would. When Katy first moved in, he was practically taking out full-page ads.

2. Back in December, when "Up in the Air" was big, Katy did a cutesy little story on the Weather Channel in which she tried to find out how easy it is to find love at the airport. She not only interviewed others, she made herself the final subject, trying to connect with various guys. She ended it by saying "Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep looking" or something like that. Not the behavior of a young lady in a committed relationship. Anymore.

3. Keith follows lots of young ladies on Twitter. Lots. Many of them are given to making practically every tweet sexually provocative. This, after he and Katy didn't even want Stephanie Miller calling him her "future husband" because they were in luuuurve and were gonna get married as soon as her career was well established and have lotsa babies. No, doesn't jibe.

4. I noticed that on one of his tweets, where he had been asked to shout out to a Young Dems group in Texas or something this past week, he said hello to them and then (apropos of nothing) "Mate early in life!" Definitely the statement of a man who seems to be regretting he didn't.

Those are the big four, in my book. I guess they'll have to do. But suffice it to say, Mr. O is acting like a man back on the market...and trolling Twitter for his next twentysomething true love.

Some guys never learn.

Edited to add: 5. Right now, even though rent is heading back up again, because of the financial crisis, halfway decent apartments, even in Manhattan, can be found for only around $1,000 a month. That fact alone, combined with Katy's Weather Channel job, could have precipitated the breakup.
