Fortunately, there are a number of casinos that are linked together now (if you go casino hopping) that you don't have to go outside much. This time of year, it's nasty hot there!

Well, we're at the Rio, which is hotel/casino/convention center all in one. I don't think I'll have to go outside at all except to get to and from the airport.

But you'll probably be plenty busy with Netroots most of the time you're there, so probably won't have a lot of time for casino hopping.

29. Easy for you to say

I'd much rather have it like last summer was -- we only hit the 90s one week and the rest of the summer was gorgeous in the 70s and lower 80s. This spring was ridiculously hot -- more like summer -- and so far, summer has been unbearable.

Actually, I'm not very fond of 90 degree weather (last summer we broke a record and hit 105 -- THAT was horrible!).

I prefer the upper 70's or low 80's myself, but until today, we only hit 70 one time this summer. It's been overcast more often than not, raining off and on, etc. Blech. While I don't like overly hot weather, I do like it when it actually IS summer around here. :)

was an urban legend. Maybe not.

My comfort range is from about 65-75. Give me that all the time and some sun and I'm happy.

It does rain a lot here, yes, but that "rain" can be anywhere from a light mist to a torrential downpour and everything in between. Plus, all that rain is what gives us the name The Evergreen State (though on the east side of the Cascade Mountains, it doesn't rain as much as it does here on the west side).

And the funny thing is, for those of us who are native Pacific Northwesterners, if we go too long without rain, we can get as cranky as we do if it rains too much. :)

35. I went to the gym first thing, which wasn't too bad

And then I had to run to Costco and the drugstore this afternoon, which was awful. However, I went to Costco to pick up a tower fan I had seen there that came with a little mini fan as well for just $50. I've got them set up in my office, and they're way better than the old box fan I had in here. I set up the mini fan right in front of the register under my desk to help blow the cold air out a little further. So far, it seems to be doing the trick.

I got notice today that my new phone has been shipped. It's gone from China to Hong Kong so far and should be here a week from today, which is a day before I thought it would be shipped. I can't wait. I'm really sick of looking at this cracked screen.
