If traffic got really backed up due to power outages in NJ he would'nt be able to get to Secaucus.

What I have found is that anyone who drives in the NYC metro area tends to be a person who is willing to risk life and limb of both himself and his passengers to get to their destination...no matter what it takes. Whatever crazy stuff they have to do to get around any traffic jam, they will do.
