I just feel so bad for that family that was shot to death by another family member, who then shot herself. The woman had mental problems, and was off her medications. :cry:

and I was shocked! That was so sad. Glad it's calmer but questions will always remain.

36. One of the things that often happens with people with

mental problems is that when they are their meds, they start feeling better, they can function better, etc., and so they think that it would be okay for them to not take their meds anymore. They may have been what happened here.

Or, it may have been that the family couldn't afford the meds.

Either way, it was sad indeed.

There have been quite a few incidents like that recently. Apparently the economy, unemployment, foreclosures, etc. plays a big role in it too, but the end result no matter how it starts is tragic. I can only hope things get better because it's getting worse every day.

I'd like to give congress a swift kick in the backside and tell them ALL to stop being so obstructionist and/or scared about the election. They are supposed to be there to do a job, but perhaps I'm expecting too much of them.

24. Everything went very well!

He's fine except the collar they gave me to keep on him for 10 days! He's been fussing like shit to take it off since we got home, so I know my weekend is gonna be a fun time keeping the damn thing on. The best part is, I only had to pay $110.00 for the procedure and the meds. I thought it was going to be more but it's a blessing to know I did what's best, and for less!
