I'm worried Charlie will get sucked into the Republican power trip in Congress and he'll vote much more conservative than he really is, making him no different than Marco (Rubio!) record-wise. I don't actually mind him, but he's been such an opportunist, it's really gross to watch; and it's a little sad. Plus, it's depressing that the Democrats are the ones who are going to put him in office. I mean, really, how many "independents" are excited about going out to vote for Charlie Crist?

But then, I'm looking at Murray (D) vs. Rossi (R) here. Patty is holding the lead by a very thin margin, and the attack ads against her are just vicious.

This is probably the nastiest election season I've EVER seen.

Last night, I saw another one against another candidate that was just sick. It showed a woman with an apple on her head (the woman representing the candidate). It appeared that the camera was looking through a sniper's scope. At the end of the ad, the screen went black and you could hear the sound of a gunshot.

I was so angry at what I saw I contacted the local CBS station that showed it, and told them it was disgusting, it was promoting violence against the candidate, and asked them to pull it.
