There's no way the numbers were there for Meek, and there were too many Rubio voters standing around waiting to vote. This is the first time I've ever voted for someone who wasn't a Dem. The fact is that Florida Dems hate Rubio more than they like Meek. Meek did not run a fantabulous campaign, either. I was waiting to see Meek's poll numbers after the debate, and they went down.

Here's my real issue with Charlie: he's an opportunist and he will vote with whoever is in power. If the Dems hold the Senate, but the Republicans win the House, I don't hold out any hope that he would vote with the Dems. If the Dems hold both by some miracle, he might indeed vote with the Dems. So, in reality, there will probably be very little difference between Crist's votes and Rubio's votes if tomorrow is a bad day. But, no matter how Charlie votes, he's not Rubio. That, it seems, is good enough for the moment 'round these parts.

As for the King Tut show on Oddball, that cracked me up, even if it was so predictable he would do it. Reminded me of a parody done locally when Dennis Kucinich was up for recall as mayor. Yes, there was a "King Dennis" ("He's a Croatian!"). It was quite funny, even if Dennis did survive the recall election.

Election??? Did somebody say "election"??? I guess this means a long night for the KOEB coming up!!!! Not looking forward to what happens locally. I fear getting a new GOP senator to replace Voinovich is utterly inevitable...oh well, at least we still have Sherrod Brown. But damn, if we end up with a Republican governor too...I'm gonna be ill. Even Dennis is getting challenged for his seat, although I doubt he's really going to lose it. My critter doesn't have serious competition, though.

Look out, kids. We're gonna need Keith to steel us for this one.
