1. I'm so bummed, I'm trying to tune out the coverage

not just that the Dems are predicted to lose big, but Riki disappeared yesterday & I can find neither hide nor hair of her. :cry:

Only upside is that I rescued a black kitten the day before Halloween (was left alone at the courthouse, very tiny thing, you would not believe the amount of noise s/he can generate when hungry. But, damn, wish Riki was here.

no, no name yet. Haven't decided if I'm keeping him/her yet. Last go-round of kittens found great homes thanks to my vet, so that's where I'll go forever home shopping for this little one.

Strangely enough, Riki had *NO* problems with this tiny one. Everyone else just about blew a gasket (Pete still turns into Mr. Hyde whenever he spots her/him). Riki, the cat who hates kittens? Nope. Didn't have much to do with the kitten, just sniffed her/him a few times. No hissing/spitting/drama.

We had a very good turn out @ the precinct I was doing election protection work @ today
.... things might not be as bloody as predicted.

but i don't give a crap about the results because I went from 4:30 AM to 8:15 PM today and i am
whupped ..... but my fave fun fact is that after eating much fruit and drinking coffee I had a really
great fart on a hard plastic chair about 5:00 PM ..... sound like a snare drum ..... only about
20 people in the room looked at me ...... :rofl:

until the local late night news. Depressing. I was so hoping the media was wrong. Did keep our D Governor and D Senator but lost my so so blue dog D Rep. Kratovil (which I held my nose and voted for) and now have crazy ass Club for Growth (or something like that reminds me of the hair for bald men commercials)asshole Harris. The teabaggers around here will feel like they won and be even more insufferably cocky. I dread what they GOP will do to this country. They f'ed it up enough under Bushco.



On a brighter note, Hi Mrs. Rev. Hope the honeymoon is just beginning and never completely ends. Give that wandering cat that finally found his way home extra chin scratches from me.

Well, I'm hoping Strickland can still pull this out. And if Harry Reid defeats Sharron Angle, and it's looking like he may, that will be a BIG one. Yes, it's awful to lose Feingold, but if Harry makes it, it will make things look much, much less mandate-y. And really, they don't look mandate-y anyway.
