Hi everyone. I know I haven't been around much during the
past year but I'm in Ireland right now. I'm coming home next Monday. I decided to keep my sanity and my blood pressure under control during the election by once again running away to Ireland like I did in 2008. I did vote though by absentee ballot. It's almost 3:00 pm over here right now and I still don't know if Alexi Giannoulis and Pat Quinn won in Illinois. I'm half afraid to take a look at the Chicago Tribune, because if the Pukes took the Senate and Governorship away from the Dems, the comments and editorials will be just horrendous.

To Rev. Cheesehead first of all congratulations. I hope you and your new husband all the best in the world and I commiserate with you on Sen. Feingold. Losing him is just awful and I honestly don't know what was going on the minds of the voters in Wisconsin. Great loss for the country as well. He'll be missed.

Also the fact that that asshole from Ohio will become Speaker of the House in January makes me want to :puke:. Say goodbye to the health care reform. I can still picture him last March screaming 'Hell No' in the House at the TV cameras. What a gobshite, as the saying goes here in Ireland, he is. I've come to the conclusion that the American people are the dumbest people on earth. They cannot or will not believe that their once 'great nation' has been literally sold down the river by the Republican party over the past 30 years. I'm not saying that they didn't have any help from the Democrats of course, we have to thank the quislings of the DLC for their part in it as well.

I'm happy that the Dems kept control of the Senate, if that's what you want to call it. Thank God, Harry Reid beat that nutcase out in Nevada. But the fact that Rand Paul won in Kentucky fills me with dread. The only coverage I watched at all last night was about 1:00 am our time just in time to see that asshat make his victory speech. I watched about 30 seconds of it and then turned the TV off and went to bed.

I really miss Keith and Rachel over here. But I'll be back in Chicago next Monday afternoon and I'll try and catch them Monday night. Take care everyone. :loveya:
