who wants my autograph? get 'em while they're cheap! ;)
anyway, i prepped & crammed for this appearance like you wouldn't believe!! i even wrote out my own talking points memo!
i get to the studio & am told that cindy sheehan is leaving crawford because her mother had a stroke. does this mean i'm not going anymore?
HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then i got to sit in the studio on the couch until my interview segment...interesting how news shows are put together......
I don't know why, but when the interviewer asked about the effect of Cindy's leaving Crawford to the anti-war movement, I just opened my mouth & out came "cindy has said that she is only one person & the movement is about more than just her. people will still come to crawford. she is the catalyst that started the anti-war/peace movement, but it will keep on growing."
Mind you, this is BEFORE i have had a chance to jump online to find out what is going on & really felt i was talking out of my ass & what is the first thing i see in rev's post????? That Cindy said essentially THE SAME DAMN THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dammit, i gonna whip out my tarot cards & do a damn reading tonight....maybe go pick some lotto numbers......who knows.
anyway, moral of the story: if you get the chance to appear on a local station to yak about going to crawford (or anything really), prep yourself until your brain starts to bleed. if i hadn't prepped as i did (even though i only used maybe one freakin' sentence out of the TWO PAGES i prepped---single spaced, legal pad no less--), i would have been thrown for a loop at the announcement that cindy had to leave.
