Depressing medical study: daydreaming overworks your brain and may cause
Alzheimer's! Just what I needed, Countdown is in a ratings slump and now my imaginary social life is ruining my brain! In that case I should've spent more time asleep. Would people let me sleep when I wanted to and as long as I wanted to? NOOOOOOOOOOO!

KO:loveya: Things will improve!

1. Well, I guess I'm screwed!!!
Actually, I think there's a definite link between people who are extremely social and well educated, and Alzheimer's. My grandmother had it, and she was one of the brightest, most social people I knew. Same with Ronald Reagan and Charlton Heston (irrespective of their political beliefs).

Alzheimer's is hell. My poor grandma went from being an active, independent woman, to someone who couldn't even comb her own hair. It dragged out for ten awful years. This was long before Alzheimer's was even "known". At the time, the doctors thought it was dementia. Now, knowing what I know about the disease, I'm convinced it was in fact Alzheimer's.

If I'm predisposed to get it (and I probably am), I might as well daydream to my heart's content. If you're doomed, you're doomed. Might as well live every moment to the fullest, right?

2. I refuse to believe this until there is more proof.
It's like saying the brain is too delicate for the work it evolved for!

Dear Keith,

I'm sorry, but I can't fantasize about you anymore. If I do, pretty soon I won't even be able to remember exactly what all those wonderful nasty things were that we did not do.

Love,
Berry :loveya:
