It was in the 80s and a bit humid, but not like it's been all summer. I was able to walk after work with my friend (my second walk of the day -- I actually got up early and walked this morning in the dark). Yesterday was probably the best day of the summer -- Lower 80s, no humidity, sun, breeze -- just perfect. Like a June or September day. I wish the whole summer could have been like that. We're supposed to get rain from Katrina starting tomorrow night.

but that might change come tomorrow. They are saying we might get a bunch of rain from the feeder bans of Katrina. Have to wait and see.

On the job front, I've been turned down for one job I applied for(with my old company)but I have interviewed for two others and I'm very hopeful on both of them and I have another one on Thursday.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about one of the two I've already interviewed for as it will pay more than what I was getting from my old job and there is room for advancement.

80. Missed the first part of Countdown due to Katrina...

rain from the outer feeder band knocked out my satellite signal. We have air-you-can-wear in eastern Missouri right now and some refugees from the storm have come 600 miles to Jefferson Co., MO to find a hotel room. MSNBC indulged in false advertising when they showed Rita Cosby 'interviewing' storm survivors when she's really in Aruba! I was really surprised when she started her show from Aruba but I guess the incompetent Aruban authorities need to be shown how to do their jobs.
