One question: Why is Lindsay Lohan on? Was she born in the South? I know Justin Timberlake is from Tennessee (I think), and Britney's got a home in Louisiana.

I've been so depressed and on the verge of tears all day today. This is really getting to me -- what's going on is bad enough, but knowing a lot of it could have been avoided had it not be for Commander Cuckoobananas just burns me up.

We have tons of money NOW, and they still can't get people out of there YESTERDAY. Also, I may use my dedicated "donation" dollars to buy a pitchfork and torch for my trip to DC on Sept 24 :evilgrin:

Even so, I wish it wasn't an entirely Keithless weekend. Word is that MSNBC plans lots of coverage this weekend but their prime time anchoring is going to be taken care of by Rita Skeeter, Tucker Carlson and Joe Scaryborough. *sigh*

I'm sure Keith will appreciate the time, off. But damn, we need him. I would not count on seeing him Monday, either. He wasn't even on Dan Patrick's ESPN Radio show today...Dan was on vacation, so so was Keith.

Right now, I have rezzies at the Courtyard in Alexandria (because my friends are driving :crazy: ). It's got free parking & on a metro line so I can get there from BWI. I'm waiting for word from my cousin who is trying to score me some friends & family rezzies at a couple of other places, which would save my friends & I some $$, although the $109 rate I got isn't that bad divided by 5 people. I've already told my friends that I intend to hook up w/DUers & if they want to come along they can.

I figure I will get to DC proper by 3. I'll be backpacking it so won't have to wait for my bags, but I'll need to find a poster board to do the sign (unless I can figure out how to get the one I already have in my backpack w/little or no damage....

Kanye was telling the truth, but he picked the wrong forum to do it in. Sadly, I think that's what the focus will be on, not the needs of these people.

Gotta say, though, Matt Lauer showed incredible grace, trying to wind things up. Harry Connick -- what a class act. I adore him.
