I switched over to Fox after the telethon, just to see how bad it was. I came out with a new respect for Shepard Smith. He totally ripped into Sean Hannity, when Sean told him, "let's be objective." Geraldo did the same thing.

Still, I think Anderson Cooper's nailed this thing, from start to finish, as far as field reporters go. I wish he'd end up in the anchor chair on either ABC or CBS. They'd be damn lucky to get him.

2. I haven't seen all of what Anderson's been doing

but I did catch him last night when he was laying into Trent Lott and the bloody stupid things he was saying about how he UNDERSTOOD what all these poor people were going through because he had been in storms before. Oh, MAN! This is the guy who is going to get his destroyed home (one of several homes he has) rebuilt with insurance money, no doubt, talking about people who have lost EVERYTHING! This is a guy who has probably never spent a DAY in his life without food, water or a warm place to take a crap, saying he KNOWS how these people feel and "this is not a time for complaining"? Man, I wanted to reach through the TV screen and throttle him! You go, Anderson!
