interviewing Keeshon Johnson (sp?), Cowboys wide receiver. and they're asking him about should they play football this weekend.

He's saying he's 'removed himself from it' because it disturbs him so much. If he lived there or was from there he doesn't think he could play -- he would want to focus on that.
