3. LOL, we *have* duct tape and plastic sheeting

some of it pre-cut, to use as a temporary covering. We keep the trees trimmed, but a tropical storm could pick up a trike or a flowerpot from a neighbor's yard and there goes a window. Houston gets a lot of street flooding, so it would be just our luck that we'd lose a window at a time when the streets were impassable, and plastic sheeting takes up less space than big sheets of plywood. And yes, we could use it to shelter in place if Texas City ever goes kerflooie, although I expect such a disaster will be the result of old equipment and shoddy maintenance rather than terrorism.
