Have you seen this one from Reuters? Hard to believe it's real, but Reuters is pretty reputable. It's supposedly blivet writing Condi a note at the UN on September 14, asking her if it's okay if he takes a bathroom break.

Hope everyone is well. Checking in for my nightly dose of Keith.

Ophelia is really pounding the coast of NC. I'm a little nervous as I haven't heard from my Aunt who lives on Oak Island, just southeast of Wilmington, NC. Normally when a hurricane is announced, she leaves and comes back to Charlotte and stays with her son. My mom has been trying to get in touch with her and hasn't yet(she was married to my mom's brother--he passed away in 1994)

Keeping my fingers crossed that she left the island and came inland.

It's a crime. Doesn't let the feds off the hook, but it's a crime. Both sides of the political fence responsible for that too. Your tax dollars "inaction"...or those of Louisianans anyway. *sigh*

I don't think there will be too many to work on, house-wise. The mold is everywhere, so even if you strip the houses down to the beams, even the beams were soaking in that water for four weeks.

So bad.

I don't understand how they'd open either, but I guess they have to get going on putting things right, so it has to happen sometime. Reporters need a place to stay, also.

100. No, not all red. Some might not have attained the rank of "ensign"
yet.

Maybe some are "yeoman" or other ranks that are disposable unless they look great in miniskirts.

85. That was a great cap.
Oh, and I forgot to give them kudos for "Brown Out" the other night. (Even if it was an easy one. They could have said "Brown Steps Down," and it would have rhymed, but it would not have given Keith his segue from that to the LA power outage!)

you'll pardon the expression--"worse" and all of them seem to have Katrina connections.

Unbelievable!!!

Keith calls them the Katrina editions.

The top one doesn't surprise me one bit. That's SOOOO par for the course in the world of retail. The only excuse for not showing up for your work shift is death--your OWN. Sheesh!

91. OK, I admit, I like the dumb song too.
No, I could not listen to it over and over 400 million times. But then again I couldn't listen to my FAVORITE songs that many times in a row.

Did anyone notice Keith's verbal blooper when he was interviewing the kids holding the chest wax-a-thon? "Let me ask by starting you..."

I believe that's what is called a Spoonerism.

If there was "some work done" they didn't even straighten it out. I can't past that green/blonde dye job. It looks like she went swimming in an over-chlorinated pool.

73. Tonight I got to see about 1/2 the show.
My Dad was laughing at the college kids wanting to wax their chests. He especially liked Keith saying "we'll check back with you later, provided any of you survive."

Keith apparently has snark-appeal to old people, too. :)

103. Whoops - sorry about that!
Dad needed to talk over stuff, and now he's gone to bed.

Mom is, well, not quite herself. She seemed really confused and disoriented this morning. Then, around noon, we finally discover that someone had shut off her oxygen! (how does that happen in a nursing care unit?)

The really sad part is that her bones seem to be scraping together. I helped transfer her from chair to bed, and all her bones were going "pop..pop..pop.." She can barely walk.

The good news: she's supposed to start PTherapy tomorrow, if she's feeling up to it.

I'm afraid this is going to be a very long recovery. :(

Hi, gang! I won't bore you with all the drama...suffice to say it was a LONG evening.

Just finished watching the show, and I have a question. How many of you think Keith was speaking to the "chest hair guys" about waxing from personal experience?

Just wondering... ;)
