Oh boy, here we go again...
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 07:00 AM by BerryBush
Lloyd Grove over at the Daily News apparently doesn't like what Keith had to say about him and his little helper the other day. So he's come back with a column that starts out with nine paragraphs bashing Keith:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/399805p-338748c.html

Read it and :puke:. But be forewarned, he uses all the time-tested Keith-bashing techniques:

--Question Keith's sanity? Imply the men in white coats need to come and take him away? Check.
--Select one of his quotes out of context, omit the rest, and then claim you're "quoting him accurately"? Check.
--Slam his ratings compared to Falafel Bill's? Check.
--Try to loop your audience in with your own feelings by saying that he must have left them scratching their heads, too? Check.
--Accuse him of being impossible to work with, unable to hold down a job, and of doing weird, psychotic things on the job (such as hiding under the desk)? Check.
--Find someone who used to be his boss--no doubt at Faux Sports--who can be relied on to paint him as a sad, pathetic human being because, after all, that's the Faux Networks' party line on Keith? Check.

Put it this way: I don't think we have to wonder who will be Worst Person in the World tonight. I guess he just felt envious because his little helper won it the other night and he only got the silver.

2. Wow. Couldn't believe Grove wouldn't own up to his screw-up
Especially when he was so throughly busted. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

One part stood out for me

I'm not a clinician, so I won't pretend to understand Krazy Keith's behavior, including sometimes locking himself in his Secaucus, N.J., office and speaking to staffers only if they've put a written request in his mailbox.

Makes me wonder if this "written request" time would be when he's supposed to be on the air with his ESPN gig. If so, then of course requests should be in the mailbox.

3. either that, or he may have a couple of hours each day where he
goes into "power writing" mode and doesn't want to be disturbed by anything less than the imminent destruction of the universe. Seems like an entirely sensible thing to do. I've done it, I've had bosses who've done it; what's the deal?
