He's been on for 30 years. He now broadcasts from his apartment in Toronto, but does a localish talk show. He's in his mid-60s, openly gay, sports nut (but hockey and harness racing) and he has an audience who loves him and an audience who hates him. He takes calls but has no patience. He's often cranky. The show is packed with comedy bits and parody songs and left-wing political kvetching. He talks to his producer, Jorge, who also fills in when Neil's on vacation -- which is a lot. He was the one who took Randi under his wing when she moved to talk from Rock, and he calls her "the goddess". Several of her drop-ins are his voice, and her "It's Friday, ya bastards!" is taken lovingly from his show.
