I'll wait until Woodward and Berstien say so. Felt has Alzheimer's and Dean's making some excellent points about the info Felt would not have access to.

Besides, I always thought it was Kissinger.

2 thoughts
1. Bush needs to take a walk like that.
2. Bush and his thugs make Nixon look like a boy scout.
Nixon late in his life tried to talk to anybody about how fool
hardy it would be for "us" to be involved in a land war in the
mid east. And i hate nixon too but i would take him in a heartbeat
over Commandeer Cuckoo Bananas. At least he had a brain.

Where is the Washington Post & the NYTimes now?

That's almost word for word what I told my husband the other day. I said, "I almost long for the good old Nixon days. He may have been evil, but at least he had a brain and understood foreign policy."

Hearing what little I did of blivet's press conference today made me gag. Why they insist on letting him out in public I'll never know.

played on my way home today. Even he said "I haven't heard this before. I can only stand to listen to so much at a time."

It was a clip where he was talking (mumbling?) about the "culture of life." He had no clue what he was saying. He just kept stumbling all over his words, doing a lot of um, uming. I just want to hurl when I hear him.

49. Any ?s about CCB's thought process can be answered by ....
"There is something healthy about people campaigning, saying, this is what I'm for. President ran on a peace platform. You know, maybe somebody will run on a war platform -- you know, vote for me, I promise violence. I don't think they're going to get elected, because I think Palestinian moms want their children to grow up in peace just like American moms want their children to grow up in peace. As a matter of fact, I think the people that campaign for peace will win."

At the time he was in power, I'm sure people who despised him felt the same way about him that we do about you-know-who. The fact that he was still in charge and doing as he pleased was not the least bit quaint to them.

126. Yes, Where is our 'Deep Throat' when we need him or her?
Maybe this will inspire someone to come forward with information to nail the blivet with once and for all. The thing about the Felt official story that gives me some hope, if it's true, is that he supposedly felt the FBI was being set up to take the heat for things and being asked to cover up things that were not honorable. Our present day FBI is rumored to be about to be set up for any number of things by the Pentagon and DOJ. They might not like that now any better than loyal FBI men liked it in Watergate times. Colleen Rowley was plenty pissed when her memo about
Zacharias Moussawi was ignored. There have got to be lots of FBI that feel they've been scapegoated and shat upon by this administration.

Speak up. Please. Better yet, get us some proof.

Klaus: Yeah?

Mother: Whaddaya want with yer jugged fish?

Klaus: 'Alibut.

Mother: The jugged fish IS 'alibut!

Klaus: Well, what fish 'ave you got that isn't jugged?

Mother: Rabbit.

Klaus: What, rabbit fish?

Mother: Uuh, yes...it's got fins....

Klaus: Is it dead?

Mother: Well, it was coughin' up blood last night.

Klaus: All right, I'll have the dead unjugged rabbit fish.

Voiceover: One dead unjugged rabbit fish later.

Klaus: (putting down his knife and fork) Well, that was really 'orrible.

Mother: Aaw, you're always complainin'!

Klaus: Wha's for afters?

Mother: Rat cake, rat sorbet, rat pudding, or strawberry tart.

Klaus: (eyes lighting up) Strawberry tart?

Mother: Well, it's got *some* rat in it.

Klaus: 'Ow much?

Mother: Three. A lot, really.

Klaus: Well, I'll have a slice without so much rat in it.

Voiceover: One slice of strawberry tart without so much rat in it later.

Klaus: (putting down fork and knife) Appalling.

Mother: Naw, naw, naw!

Son: (coming in the door) 'Ello Mum. 'Ello Dad.

Klaus: 'Ello son.

Son: There's a dead bishop on the landing, dad!

Klaus: Really?

Mother: Where's it from?

Son: Waddya mean?

Mother: What's its diocese?

Son: Well, it looked a bit Bath and Wells-ish to me...

Klaus: (getting up and going out the door) I'll go and have a look.

Mother: I don't know...kids bringin' 'em in here....

Son: It's not me!

Mother: I've got three of 'em down by the bin, and the dustmen won't touch 'em!

Klaus: (coming back in) Leicester.

Mother: 'Ow d'you know?

Klaus: Tattooed on the back o' the neck. I'll call the police.

Mother: Shouldn't you call the church?

Son: Call the church police!

Klaus: All right. (shouting) The Church Police!

140. Episode VII
Edited on Tue May-31-05 09:01 PM by Patsy Stone
Wherein the Dark Side has taken over the universe. There is only one source of information, there is no chocolate pudding. I'm talkin' bad.

At the height of its power, there is a strong tremor in the Force, waking those who have turned to evil as well as those proud few who still fight for good.

Darth Trickius, with help from a few loyalists still in positions to primitively hack into the communications systems, broadcasts a message many years after his death. It was caught in a vortex and was spit up on a small planet in a forgotten section of a tiny galaxy.

The message was simple, "Barbara was Deep Throat! She took all the pudding, too."

And the people rose up and with sticks and stones and all sorts of cool space gizmos cast the devils out.

Then they partied.

And Keith's not in Secaucus because he was planning to take the day off. Most likely at home. So when the Deep Throat story broke, he desperately wanted to cover it and asked if he could just do it from 30 Rock instead. It would be more convenient for him.

On edit: just to clarify. I spoke with great authority above, but what I said is pure speculation. Put it this way, though: I know what it's like not to drive. And it can't be all that much easier even in metro NY, and even if you can have a driver at your beck and call. (Keith doesn't really seem to take advantage of that option all that often, although I assume he has it...otherwise, why would he have described taking the subway back and forth from the RNC last summer? I assume he could've had a driver had he wanted one.)

I figured that on March 1, even if he hadn't taped Carson Daly the same day, well, hey, it was a crappy day for weather on the East Coast. It would've been hard for him to get to Secaucus under any circumstances, so doing the show from 30 Rock that night made sense.

76. I have the sound turned down, now.

I cannot, cannot, CANNOT stand to hear blivet** talk. :puke:

I have never loathed a person - ever - particularly not this much. There is nothing redeeming about his man.

We do monkeys and ducks (as in lame duck) a disservice by referring to blivet** as either one of those fine animals.

You know that the English language is not his first language, don't ya?

Now gibberish is his mother tongue.

What a bag of puss.

137. Hi Crispi! I'm afraid to look at how you've wronged poor Botany this
time, or how he's lashed back.

Can't we all just get along?

And if not, please, post pictures.

:)

101. Oh man, she's just beggin' for it, boys!!
And in the meantime there you have Alison, ending the show by crossing her arms and doing the Jeannie "blink" as the camera lens "smashed."

It's a gala day for the ASTB and the cheese-chasers! ("And a good thing, too," says Keith as he wiggles his Groucho brows, "because a gal a day is about all they can handle!")

118. Hey Patsy, hey everybody.
Hello Howard Keef Olberbeale.
I watched the show tonight. Just couldn't get computer access to post while watching.

I think the 'Deep Throat' identity is being revealed in a curiously, convenient time frame. Who will be talking about the DSM and Conyer's letter to Rummie about air attacks provoking Iraq before the official start of the war now. We'll be in Deep throat coverage for days now.

I think John Dean is right. I've read his articles about the identity of Deep Throat and this person being identified doesn't necessarily answer any questions. Why would Bernstein have told Dean that he'd have an epiphany once he found out when he had no such epiphany.

I hate it when the anti-Semite Pat Buchanan is on and Keef has to make nice with him. PB called 'Deep Throat'/Felt a bad person for bringing Nixon down, next thing you know ol'Tricky Dick is going to get a reputation make-over by way of MSM. Mr. Bunny thinks it's a Rovian trick to bring out the identity of DT this week, and doesn't put much credence in the revelation.

Haven't read what you guys think yet. I'm going to read down the thread now.

How is everybody. I had no internets service for two days, was beginning to worry that the Bush crime family had shut us down because we were getting too cheeky for them. Glad it was just temporary paranoia, for now.

Alison was so cute and snarky tonight. She was great talking about the Preznit being a lame duck just 5 months after the 2nd term shoplifting of the WH (ok, she didn't say the shoplifting part).
