Can someone here please explain to me why. . .
. . . every time I suggest that anti-Semitism exists here at DU, my posts are deleted?

It's not like I've done it that often.

I'm also running into a lot of the old, "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" libel at some other places. Anyone else running into that, and how do you deal with it?

1. A couple of ideas.
There could be a couple of reasons for your posts being deleted. It is possible the way you worded the post was indicative of "calling a DU'er an anti-Semite," which is against the rules, even if their posts would seemingly indicate such. Another reason is it could be a broad brush, i.e. you accused a large group of posters or DU, itself, of being anti-Semitic. There is also the possibility your post wasn't in violation, but it and other posts (deleted sub-threads) were removed to avoid more of a "pile-on" situation. However, I can't be totally certain without knowing what the post said or why the moderator(s) made the decision to delete.

As for the "Protocols," my suggestion is you demand they provide proof; it drives people nuts they have to substantiate their lies. Most, will, however, try to use the logical fallacy of "burden shift" and demand you prove their claim is or isn't true. The big one now is the organ stealing, make sure the ignorant know the difference in the charges of "Jews stealing organs for other Jews, making of meals" (a blood libel) and organized organ-smuggling rings, which aren't limited to Jews or Israelis. The biggest problem is many disguise their anti-Semitism by claiming their anti-Zionist or anti-Israel (policies, etc.). It is difficult to "prove" unless they slip up because people can be anti-Zionist and anti-Israel (policies, etc.) and not be anti-Semites. The biggest issue I often see, other than the aforementioned, is people making anti-Semitic remarks and not realizing it and then trying to defend their remarks (Jewish Lobby, Jews' control of media, dual citizens). Another issue is "excusing" or "understanding" anti-Semitic actions/events (basically, blaming the victim).

2. You are so right about the hiding behind "anti-Zionist"
I can't go back and give you every instance because those instances were deleted. I'll do my best, though, to try to summarize and tie my issues together because they are related and it seems to me to be one issue when it all comes down to it.

For some reason I am not allowed to post my theory, which I have derived from mainstream sources, that "Palestinians" are Arabs. I'm not sure why I can't express that opinion. I have nothing whatsoever against Arabs. As far as I know their nationality is in fact "Arab" regardless whether they consider themselves to be "Palestinian." I can't figure out what's wrong with saying that, except that it contradicts a certain argument that pro-Palestinian posters want to make. The term "Arab" is not a slur any more than the term "Jew" is a slur.

Well, that's the point of debate and if I'm not allowed to present a contradictory point of view then the parties who will not allow that point of view are kind of sort of taking sides, are they not?

Not sure that's a "broad brush." This certainly doesn't involve calling a DU'er an anti-Semite.

This ties into the issues of Israel, of course. In terms of the issues of Israel sometimes the "Protocols" or some thinly-veiled facsimile gets slipped into the argument. I even had one poster claim that Judaism promoted xenophobia.

Of course you have the "Jewish Lobby, Jews' control of media, and dual citizens" and the "blaming the victim" as you correctly identified. Yes, absolutely I am referring to these things and when I suggest anti-Semitism plays a role in this my posts are invariably deleted.

It ain't right. I should be allowed to identify anti-Semitism. I'm sorry but the censorship here is unjust and, frankly, a little over the top as it favors one side over another.
