Even in Brazil...
SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) - Brazilian authorities arrested three skinheads accused of punching, kicking and stabbing three Jewish students in southern Brazil, news media reported Saturday.
The men were charged with attempted murder and racism, police investigator Paulo Cesar Caldas Jardim told the Agencia Estado news service.
The men, 25-year-old Valmir Dias da Silva Machado, 26-year-old Leandro Mauricio Patino Brum and 23-year-old Israel Andreotti da Silva, were taken into custody Friday for allegedly attacking the students Sunday in Porto Alegre, 850 kilometres south of Sao Paulo, police said.
One of the students remained in hospital because of stab wounds, police said.
Witnesses led police to the houses of the three men, where investigators found flags, banners, books and CDs exalting Nazism, police said.
Police were looking for more men who might have participated in the attack, authorities said.
