Behind the Aegis invited me over here today and I've been wanting to say "hello" to you all for a long, long time now, so I just wanted to let everyone here know that my name is "David" and while I am not Jewish, I have always sort have been in awe of you Jews!

Math, Science, Music, Politics, Literature, Economics, Finance, Entertainment...is there any field where you just don't set the standards higher and higher all of the time?

Here's hoping a little of that Jewish magic might just rub off on to me.

Most of all, I want to wish all of my great Jewish friends here at the DU a Happy Hanukkah full of love and wonder!

As for the fields, education is highly prized in our religion. Of course some of it is not just that it is highly prized, but because we have Jewish mothers! ;) (That's an old joke...Why are there so many Jewish (doctors, lawyers, etc.)? Because their mothers' are!)
