Has anybody had an enlarged spleen?

If so, did you have it treated or removed, and if treated with what? I have a chronic blood disorder (essential thrombocythemia) that causes too many platelets to be made. Of late I have been extremely fatigued and have left side tenderness. Spleen issues are common with my disorder. I just had a CT scan and I would be surprised if I don't have this diagnosis. I have over a week before I get to discuss my results with my doctor and I am so sick, its impossible for me to work (sitting in bed I do okay but I can only be up and around for a little bit before becoming flat exhausted).
