I went to get my mac to the store and on the way out I had some sushi...
And when I got home <------- bad me, I was hungry so I ate a whole banana.
Well to diabetics among us you know what came next.
I started to get VERY tired... I know I get tired when my sugars spike... so I try to avoid them...
And fingers started well tingling.... now that has not happened in a long time...
Got sugar sample... lets just say I would have fingered waggled a patient of mine... yes it was that high. So feel free to finger waggle... I DESERVE IT!
So I got on my elliptical... and managed to drop those sugars 100 points and change with exercise...
It is still high... 200, but it is not at the two hour mark for post prandial. Yes I intend to check it again...
I am so glad I actually have a clue... if I went to sleep I fear it could have gone even higher. And it could have gotten into the dangerous territory.
No I don't have insulin... so when I get stoopid (I did)... I do exercise. And yes from time to time we all get stoopid!
I am damn lucky I am that sensitive to it though...
NO SUSHI for me... followed by a banana... what the fuck was I thinking? The sushi was "bad enough" since it was a good amount of rice. But that is one of the reasons I own an exercise machine at home... when I do get stoopid, even if I was not planing to exercise today... well there you have it.
And I am in good enough shape now that doing twenty minutes at a good click, yes I checked at the 10 minute mark... why I kept to twenty, and it was not hard to do it. And on the bright side, I know have a wonderful buzz from the exercise... and earlier in the day. I would have taken the bike out... but it was near the dark hour... don't ride in the dark.
