Curious, anybody else having pain in joints
due to strange weather? Yes, my knees are arthritic and they have been feeling like jell-o, to the point of needing tylenol.

1. I have a pain in my back, just over my left buttock.
I thought I might have pulled a muscle at the gym. It does not change, and I can hardly walk. The doc gave me two prescriptions for it. He called them in, and does not want to see me unless it does not go away.

I, too, have an arthritic knee. But it does not hurt at all right now. Just the place in my back.

Do you live in an area that has had a lot of humidity and rain?

I hope we both feel better soon!

4. Same pain
I have that same pain but mine is on the right side. It hurts much worse when I walk or try to do housework. Tylenol does noting for me and my nephrologist doesn't want me to take Ibuprofen anymore due to kidney disease. Hope you feel better soon. I've been having this pain for over 5 years. I don't know what makes me think it will ever go away but I keep hoping.

5. Ice that puppy. It works a hell of a lot better than heat does.
Ice feels awful at first, but after 20 minutes your pain has been numbed so that you can go about your business for the next hour or even two.

As for weather related stuff, I find that old fractures hurt when a weather change is happening. My arthritis has a mind of its own and just hurts when it wants to independent of anything else.

3. Well, maybe. We have had a very cool spring.

And my arthritis is acting up a lot lately. Not sure if it's related.
(edited to add: I'm in southern California, too.)

6. Our dog Guinness has a bad knee. He stopped limping over the
summer, but just since the start of November and the frost season, the limp is coming back. (He lives and sleeps in the house but can go outside to his pen at will.)

7. My Wife Does
She's got arthritis in the lower lumbar region. No disk damage, just an accumulation of calcium deposits between L1 and L2, and L2 and L3. Bothers her a lot when the weather changes. Then, when her system acclimates, she seems to be ok for a while.

She also has a small arthritic spur near a broken bone spot that rubs against the tendons near her ankle.

It's not really arthritis that bothers her there, but chronic tendinitis caused by the spur constantly rubbing.

That acts up when the weather changes, too.
