Twins get Luis Castillo from Marlins

MINNEAPOLIS Dec 2, 2005 — The Minnesota Twins acquired speedy second baseman Luis Castillo on Friday from the cost-cutting Florida Marlins for a pair of pitching prospects, according to a baseball official with knowledge of the trade.

The Twins sent minor leaguers Travis Bowyer and Scott Tyler to the Marlins, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been officially announced by the teams.
