1. Sorry, CF82. I Had To Pick The Cardinals
Yes, it hurt badly. I still like their lineup. A really good combination of contact hitters and power. Not a whole lot of strikeouts in their lineup either.

I think the Cubs will win 90 games and finish 6 games out.

We'll see how good a prognosticator i am.

2. I'm not so sure about the Cards' pitching.
Beyond Mulder, who do they really have? Morris and then who? They lost Williams, who was gold for them. Mulder may have a hard time adjusting to a new league too. Womack replacing Renteria is a HUGE downgrade. The Cubs' starting five, hands down, is the best in the division, or the league. If they can put all facets of the game together at the same time, steady pitching, timely hitting, and great defense, I don't think even the Cardinals' bats can make up for the Cubs' season.

3. Womack isn't with the Cards
anymore. Dave Eckstein is the replacement for Renteria...for the time being! They only signed Grudzhoweveryaspellit:P to a one year deal, and the plan for the 2006 season is for Luna to move up to short and Eckstein move to 2nd. Who knows!

4. Right you are.
Either way, I think losing Renteria was pretty big for the Cards. I don't think their defense will be as good.
