2. The Tribune Company has been using the Moneyball
strategy long before they had a word for being cheap-ass bargain basement talent hunters. LOL

Cubs will never win with their ownership.

4. There is a book by Michael Lewis called "Moneyball"
This book "documents" Billy Beane's (general manager of the Oakland A's) strategies for drafting and fielding a major league baseball team. Michael Lewis practically fellates Beane throughout the entire book.

6. It seems to be working quite well for Beane.
The A's have an incredible team this year, and they have been great in the last five years. All on one of the league's slimmest budgets.
