Ah, its baseball season
Tried to stay awake for the Yankees at Oakland game, but I fell asleep after the third inning (it was over after the second inning anyway). But I did get to see a part of five different games yesterday. That was nice. I so miss daytime baseball. I have to sneak over to the Bronx for an afternoon game this spring. Nothing like a live game on a warm spring day.

Well, the Yankees are going to have to try not to score runs with tha tlineup. They better, because the pitching is suspect at best. I see a lot of high scoring games in th eBronx this season.

I love this tiem of year. Every team is in contention and every team has reasons to smile. Hell, just listening to the game again is a reason to smile.

1. I have caught a bunch of the televised games so far
I am like a junkie getting a fix. I was disappointed with the outcome of the Twins at Blue Jays opener, but I was pleased to see the Twins actually hit two homeruns (almost three - Rondell White was robbed of one in deep center field). Unlike your Yankees, we have the pitching, it is our offense which is suspect.

2. I agree; this is the best time of the year.
You're right on the brink of summer, but not quite there yet (no oppressive heat for the moment). People are energized for their respective teams, and it's fun to see how the newer/younger guys meld with their new teammates.

4. exactly
I love watching all the games on TV the first week. It seems like its the only week with a few days games too.

3. I agree
I absolutely love this time of the season for the very reasons you described.

The only thing that could make it better for me is if Ernie Harwell was still broadcasting.
