2 deaths in one week ... do things happen in 3's?
My husband's cousin died. Cervical cancer. She was close to my age 51 or so. She passed away last thursday. His aunt (not her mother but same side of the family) passed away on saturday.

My husband's mother is in the end stages of Alzheimer's disease and on two occasions hospice has called and said 'she has a few hours'. She's still breathing. That sounds harsh I know.

Do things happen in threes? Will she be next. In all honesty I hope so. Alz is horrible. It's no way to live. It's hard to sit by and watch how it tears families to pieces emotionally.

I'm just venting .. and really sad today.

1. What a burden you carry and you still have time to ask how we
are doing. We should all thank the gods that you are such a caring person. I hope your trials will soon be over.
Thank you for thinking of us as we will be of you.

Sometimes it is hard enough to get through the day.

Peace

2. Kesha, my heart goes out to you.
Sometimes life is just very, very hard. Take comfort in knowing we love you, and are here for you, just as you have been for us.:hug:

3. It happened that way in my family
My heart goes out to you and your family

Back in 1985/86 we lost my Uncle (age 53) and one month later my Great-Aunt and the day after that my Grandmother (her sister!). This was on my Dad's side of the family. We didn't have many relatives in the U.S. at all since my Dad was born in Czechoslovakia. So those three deaths took half of the family my Dad had here.....

4. Thank you all for taking the time to reply.
MIL is still with us. I don't know if that's good or bad. Bad thing about Alzheimer's is that you just don't know what's going on inside.

I'm very down these days. I can't pinpoint why. Maybe I just have to go with it for a while eh?

I do have lots to be thankful for ... I just have to keep reminding myself.

love to all of you.

kesha.

6. thank you Rev
I'm pleased to know you're thinking of me enough to remember me in your prayers.

Mum's birthday would have been on the 26th and Christmas is coming. My family is wonderful at guilt tripping me for living so far away from them. I have to work most of Christmas and they can't accept that. So, the guilt trips work, I'm miserable and sinking deeper into feeling sorry for myself.

thanks for being you.
