2. I was close to my dad, too

He died eight years ago, Nov. 10. One thing I've found, is that when somebody really loves you, their love never leaves. You take it with you, wherever you go, and it's there to keep you strong, through good times and bad. Their final gift to you.

....and I do feel my Dad near. It's gotten much better over the years. More smiles and laughter when I think about him and when I say something that came straight out of his mouth :-).
