I don't know the person that started the thread and it's been locked, but my god, .... my heart aches for him and for his family.

Just a note: this isn't about me and 'my' grief. This is about this poor soul who hurts so badly.

I wish there was something that I could do for him.

1. I read the thread yesterday and it made me cry.
The world can be a cruel place and good people suffer while so many carry on in the shadows of evil and law-breaking. Just look at Washington and Wall Street for a quick example.

The list of people who are in despair is getting longer by the day. I'll bet we all know someone like the poster, whether the turmoil is visible or hidden. I know a young family that is now so messed up because of events that were not under their control. I have no idea how to help them. It boils down to the mighty dollar for almost everyone in distress now. There will be more situations like this. All in the "greatest country in the world". We lost that honorary title years ago.

We would all help this family if we could, what could we do?

It makes me angry to contemplate such a country allows that anyone to sink to such despair while others, equal under the law, continue to prosper with more money than they could count in a lifetime.
