I'm sick with grief for my "Wendy"
She was my lovedog. I don't know what to do with this profound sadness. I thought perhaps someone would have some good ideas on how to deal with grief. For 13 years we were inseparable. She liked to roll upside down and grunt so I'd climb on top of her and hold her head and kiss her as her eyes rolled up in their sockets. Dogbliss. I spoiled her. She had a wonderful life of nature hikes, almost daily, and swims in the creek. Her happiness was as important to me as my job, my wife, and my own happiness. And she paid me back with love.

Life without Wendy is difficult. Thanks for listening.

1. I am so sorry.
I don't know how to help, but I have felt that same inconsolable grief over the loss of a dog. They are members of our family, and we do feel real grief with their passing.

Only time will help. I lost a dog six years ago, and sometimes I still grieve for her. Most of the time, I take joy in my memories of her, and joy in my new dog.

My heart goes out to you.

3. I'm so sorry salinen
 I still cry over all the dogs I've lost....so maybe I will be no help. However, just keep those good memories of Wendy alive in your heart and remember those fun times and how lucky you were to have each other for 13 years.

When I dream of my dogs, I think they are coming "back" to tell me hello.
