Buildup toward a death anniversary
Nov. 10 will be the 8th anniversary of my son's death. Usually the buildup is worse than the actual day and I'm into that period big time right now. Can't eat without nausea, can't sleep over 4 hours, bouts of severe lower GI distress, no motication, no enthusiasm. A psychiatrist asked me yesterday how I dealt with the loss and I told her the same way I've dealt with it since he died; just by sheer power of will and putting one foot in front of the other while trying to keep my balance.

Thanks for listening.

1. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I can't imagine the pain that goes with losing a child. Bless you, and I'll be praying for you during this time.

6. I really do appreciate that, HM.
These DU groups show the true heart and soul of DU members and I'm grateful for them. Your offer has touched me so that I'm crying a little right now knowing support is just a couple of clicks away. Thank you.
