First race of the season and I get a flat tire, - Race update #1

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have been in many races and heard the sound of a tire going flat on another racer and thought to myself "whew I am glad I am not that guy". Well I ended up being that guy. I didn't have spare wheels so I couldn't get back into the race.

No big deal this was a training race for one in two weeks in LA, and I am pleased with how I was riding up until I had the blow out.

I will try to keep you all updated throughout the season. See you on the flip side and keep spinning.

What can you say about flats?....Sucks.
I am not a racer, and I hate flats so much I ride on Kevlar street tires.


Winter is breaking here, though night temps are in the teens and we had two moderate snowstorms last week.
I shucked the studded tires, and rode on street tires for the first time in months on Monday....what a joy!

Since it is over a month since you posted, how was the race?
