Hmmmm...A mountain bike with bald skinny tyres...

Yeah, I have a moutain bike, even though I consider riding across the grass at the park enough "off road" for me.

So, I put a set of Bontrager slicks on it, 26X1.5" size, and went for a 1/2 hour toodle around town.

Smooth, quiet, no vibration, and I think they make the bike more quick-handling. And bald tyres have plenty of traction, at least on dry pavement.

Makes me wonder what 650B wheels ride like...
