Oh, yeah, I'm into the Methyl Salicyclate and Menthol creme tonight!
Both elbows and my knees.

33 miles in 3 hours.
Varied terrain, made the 16-mile outbound leg in 1:16, and fought a 10 MPH headwind all the way back home.

I'll pay for my exuberance tomorrow, f'sure....

What a beautiful day!

1. yeah
today I recovered from a Saturday ride of around 22 miles in a loop up and down out of the river valley. I climbed the same 300 feet of elevation several times spinning up the bluffs.

I can't complain much about the headwind, as I have a fairing, but hills are less fun going up on a bent, though a gas going down. I zoomed past a cop last week doing ~40 in a 30. Eventually I am going to get a ticket on Beardsley road...

Sunday resting was grim. I woke up Sunday AM with charliehorsing hamstrings. Damn I hate that. It has something to do with the BP meds, I think.

Hydrate and aspirin before bed ususally helps me.

2. I did 16 miles yesterday
Some of it into a 10 MPH wind, and one fairly gradual climb (39/28 was able to handle it) But there was 3 miles running with the wind that I covered between 23-26 MPH.

My knees hurt more today than they did after the 33-miler...
Different bike. I think I need to check the saddle height.

Charleyhorsing hamstrings are NO fun! Hope last night was more rstful!
