Got in my first 22 miles of the year today.
I was very happy with my recovery as I've recently quit smoking. It was like riding with a new set of lungs. 37 days and counting. My recovery time is at least 4 times less and my buttsky doesnt hurt. Its the first time I've ridden my road bike without having a smoke before and after. Its kind of a nice feeling and the hills are a lot easier.

p.s. keep yer smart a answers to yer dang self! :)

3. Coupla years now.
I'm good for 50 miles, but I want to increase the distance and decrease the time it takes to ride it.

4. 50 miles is a great ride!
In Minnesota we have the TRAM or the Trek Across Minnesota for the MS society. Its a 5 day trip averaging about 60 miles per day. I didnt think I had it in me, but you'd be suprised what you can do riding in a group like that. I've found the best way to increase your distance is to bring lots and lots of liquids and ride one way 30 miles then there's no choice in how far you have to come back. I try to plan it so that I'm into the wind on the way out. Doesnt always work out though... Congrats on 50, thats still a ton of pavement.
