As far as I know, this is one of the biggest bicycling events in this part of the country, and its coming up this coming weekend (Mar 25,26,27). It attracts riders from all over Texas, and perhaps even all over the country. (It certainly should, since the Texas Hill Country is beautiful, and nearly perfect for cycling.)
My partner and I have participated in 3 of the last 4 years, generally sticking to the short rides. But they have rides of anywhere from 20 to 100+ miles on each of the 3 days. Schedule and weather-permitting, we'll be participating again this year.
Here's the website for anyone interested in trying it out:

Experience the charm and hospitality of the Texas Hill Country with your hosts the San Antonio Wheelmen. Three days of some of the best cycling Texas has to offer. All rides start and end in Kerrville (except for an optional Sunday ride that begins and ends in Fredericksburg,). The start is an easy bike ride from most area hotels and Schreiner City Park campground. Several distance options every day including a century on Saturday and no mass starts. A Saturday-only option is available. Most roads are lightly traveled yet challenging. All rides are fully supported with roving SAGs and rest stops. T-shirts and goody bags will be provided to the first l000 entrants. Temperatures range from the mid 40's to the mid 70's.The ride is rain or shine.
