I just ordered a trainer.

I know it seems strange to be getting one in the summer but it doesn't look like I'll get much riding in due to the heat and my late work schedule. And I want to be on my bike!

So I checked them out and decided on the Cycle-Ops Magneto Trainer that Nashbar has on sale right now for $209.95. I went ahead and order the riser block and book rack as well. Maybe it will hold my wireless laptop and I can read DU while I'm cycling! ;)

1. This is actually the time to buy that stuff.

It's discounted a bit, like winter clothes. Nobody wants to stay inside, everyone's going outside.

Then in the fall, I buy summer stuff, because it goes on sale...

2. I figured that's why it was on sale.

I guess I should look into some cold weather gear now, huh? Our winter weather is much more favorable for riding than in the summer. We've got our cycling seasons mixed up down here! :D

3. OUR winter riding....

Usually involves discussions about spiked tyres, how to keep your face-mask and water bottle from icing up....

That's when I move indoors....Even though it was "only" 52 when we started riding yesterday...
