Anyone planning on riding a Brevet Series this year?

Not sure I could do it, hell, I haven't even completed a Century yet, but to be able to ride 200, 300, 400, 600, and then 1200 Kilometers in the course of a year.

By the time the next Paris-Brest-Paris rolls around, we might not be allowed to leave the country...

Basically, it's a self-supported timed endurance ride of varying length. You start out with 200 kM (127 miles) with a 12-hour time limit, and progress up to a 1200 kM (750 miles) ride with a 90-hour time limit.

You get to purchase a medal for successful completion of each ride, with additional medals available for doing certain combinations in a year.


The grand-daddy of them all is the 1200 kM Paris-Brest-Paris ride, held every 4 years, and it's invitation only, extended to those who have completed a 200-300-400-600 series.

My goal is to do this, if I can figure out how to get work, girlfriend, and the fucking Indiana weather to co-operate....
