35 miles in 98 degree heat. had to stop for water every 7 miles...

didnt pee once. There was no way I would have made 50 today. Had to walk to houses out in the country to ask for water. Everyone obliged... Minnesota nice still exists!!! No tire punctures, no hassles at all today. Also didnt bonk....

If you didn't piss at all, you were flirting with dehydration. I'm sure glad the folks along the way were giving you water, but what did you do about electrolyte replacement?
I dump a 1/8 tsp. of Potassium and a little salt in each water bottle on a hot day, and I have one bottle of sport drink with me as well.

Yesterday it hit 87 here, with humidity in the high-80's. I was going to help my ESSO with some yardwork then go for a 30-miler. After the work was done, my clothes were soaked with sweat and I was nauseous and panting. I spent the rest of the day inside sitting over the AC register.

Supposed to hit 92 here today, guess I won't be riding at all this weekend....

It is kind of amazing how sweating that much reduces the urge to pee.

I did 60 miles yesterday in about the same heat. Over two stops I drank a gallon of Coke. Sports Drink of Champions lol :D

I did 35 yesterday with a heat index well over 100. I think I drank twice my weight in water. Some guys invited me on a group ride today, but with a heat index reaching 110, my happy ass is going to be sitting in my AC'ed apartment watching the Tour.
