Lance Armstrong for Governor!
In today's Mourning Edition summary of Lance Armstrong's victory at the Tour de France, NPR reported rumors that Lance is thinking of running for governor of Texas. Love it

Sen. John Kerry thinks Lance Armstrong would make a terrific politician — but fears he'd be running for the other party.

Watching Armstrong during his warmup for Saturday's time trial, the Democrat from Massachusetts listed the Texan's winning qualities.

"What's made him so special at the Tour de France, and as an athlete, is the level of focus, discipline, intelligence, strategic ability, and obviously, his endurance — his ability to just take it on and go," Kerry said.

Those qualities would serve Armstrong well in politics, Kerry said. But Armstrong is also friendly with fellow Texan President Bush.

3. That article twists what Kerry said.
I saw the interview. What he actually did was list all of Lance's qualities that would make him a good politician and then added that if the does decide to run, he hopes it's for the right party. He did NOT say that he's afraid he's a Republican, which is what that article implies!
